What Spirit Expects of Us

Spirit directs us to do only a few things in life. Spirit's teachings are easy, simple, and very doable.Remember always that you are spirit, as well as flesh. When we say "…and I will do my part…" in the creed that we recite each Sunday, it refers to trusting Spirit's healing power in our life, but it also refers to our individual spirit staying positive by reading and reciting words and thoughts that keep us centered and certain that the outcome will be in our favor. It means taking medicine when we should and it means sleeping and eating as we should.
It means, in short, that we must exercise our will. We have the one and only power in this world or the next that can make the will work for us, it is your will and mine. We have the power to say, "I will get enough rest, the right foods, and I will take the treatment prescribed. I will also meditate and get John Parker (or whoever the healer is) to give me healing, as well." I will exercise my will to make these things happen, as well as make any other choices I must make for myself.
I will also keep my eyes and ears open for any unexpected information I might hear or read about methods of solving my problem through seeking whatever help is available and finding out everything I can to help myself. Why? Because I promise Spirit each Sunday of my life that "I will do my part." We have the responsibility for doing all we can to help ourselves; Spirit adds the rest!
