it's literal meaning, in English, is "flower of life"... the archaic spelling of fleur
de lis was fleur de luce... "luce" means "light"... notice how it looks like two

This symbol is the Merkaba (Mer, "the dark sea of awareness", or "the cosmic sea of infinite potential"; plus Ka, "the astral body" or "the dreaming body"; plus Ba, "the physical body" or "the genetic body"). Note the use of the Trinity in the formation of not only the symbol, but also the word itself. Three components, the three elements of man, trapped on earth, as he struggles to evolve and fuse the different components of his being, into a complete sphere - 0... keep that in mind for the next quiz section... the Merkaba is formed by the overlapping of two triangles (or two tetrahedrons, depending on your perspective), one of the triangles being inverted (like the photons would be inverted, if they overlapped to form the fleur de lis)... rising from the center is a seventh element... The seven "somethings" are chakras - give yourself one point if you guessed correctly...
The word chakra means "wheel of light"... or "that which revolves"... you will notice that the colors depicted in this image are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet - which also make up the seven colors of the spectrum of light... meaning, white light, as separated into its seven different components... a star is an emanation of light... and the ancients named the stars in the sky after their gods... and the ancients claimed the stars WERE their gods... i.e., they were alive... they were men, elevated to a more perfect form... men, evolved into a pure, white, spherical emanation of light... interesting, isn't it...
